New discoveries are acquired through various senses and are usually assimilated tumbling with pre-existing knowledge and actions. A Memo From The Director
Discovering Jacob was a hard film to shoot. Not in terms of physical production, but hard due to the subject matter. This film is based on the true story of Sally Regenhard; bereaved mother of Christian Otto Regenhard. Christian was a firefighter on call to tower # 2 of the WTC on the morning of 9-11. Christian was never heard from again. Sally took it upon herself to start the "Skyscraper Safety Campaign" in memory of her son. This is her story. It is a film that shows the bereavement and aftermath of 9-11, and its affect of the family. I wanted to make a film that showcases the aftermath; something that the media did not show-the perspective of the family following a tragedy.
